Heteroclinus fasciatus, known commonly as the Banded weedfish in Australia,[2] is a species of clinid in the genus Heteroclinus.[3] It is a subtropical blenny found around Australia, in the western Pacific ocean.[3] It was named by W. Macleay in 1881, originally under the name Cristiceps fasciatus,[4] and can reach a maximum length of 6.5 centimetres.[3]
